Hello everybody,

Hello guys,

I am new in Cairo!!! And very happy to have the opportunity to discover this city!!!!
From my first impression,it looks very nice even though recent events don't seem very reassuring.

Could you please give me some advice on places to go, what neighborhood to choose ? I am really excited by all this change and I hope everything will be as nice as I expect.

Can you also tell me where I can buy basic stuff (computer, hair dryer...)?

I will try to join you for the next meeting ! It would be very interesting meeting some of you to listen to your experiences and advices in Egypt

Next meeting will be this Tuesday 25th in the same place,we always set there and talk,have some drinks and some times doing a theme for the meeting,,,,wish to see u there soon

Same for me as Aurora, I cannot really join you guys for a weekly meeting during the week.
Could be nice trying to organise something during the week-end.

I've always had the same problem as well so I never really attended any of the meetings as well so I thought Why don't we just organize something for the weekend.

I don't mind organizing everything (reservations, helping everyone with direction,etc...) if we just agreed on time and place. tell us what area do you think is best for everyone and suggestions for restaurants/bars or anything would be very helpful as well.

@ mr.hatahitos.. we miss you ya Mahmoud.. it is the 3rd meeting you are not joining us .. wish you all luck with your exams .. realy you add a special taste and touch to the meeting.

@ Ahmad Khallaf.. you are totally right and if you had read the last posts over the past 3 weeks you would get surprised by the number of people asking for weekend meetings and gatherings.. some in New Cairo (Madenaty & Rehab) plus others in October city.. and even people in down town and Maddi all are asking for weekend meetings..

I have an idea and suggestion that we can round the location every weekend which would give a chance for every one to join at least one weekend in their area every month ..

Each week in different city and location.. so weekend for new Cairo residents in Madentity for instance then the following for October residents and so on.. so we all can met and have fun and sure it wouldn't be close only for the city residents would be open for all who can join.

If you need any help organizing such event never hesitate to drop me a line beside there are very helpful people in each city willing to offer a hand to help ..
