No female member should have to change her avatar photo in order to be safe here on Expat-blog. We take issues like this quite seriously.

I was talking about a gross-looking person. You can't tell what's under the niqab.

It doesn't eradicate the problem, but lessens it. I used to be a moderator on a social website. One thing I learnt, is the majority of complaints, I'm confident to say over 90%, was from women with average-to pretty avatars. They are more likely to be targeted than someone hideous-looking, for obvious reasons.

Even I get those messages, they don't even bother to read my profile and if they did, they will never text me.
These are just horny guys waiting for a change to catch someone. For them its the only way to get in touch with girls.
And that's okay with me but not on this site, there are many matrimonial and dating sites for that purpose.

Your avatar is normal. Try changing it to an aged women, and you will notice a difference. They will think twice about being horny with a granny.

It won't necessarily end the private messages, but I'm sure it will lessen them. That's if you do genuinely want to take steps to deal with this. It seems the opposite though. You want them to send, so that you can complain about it. And what better way than uploading a nice pic to get their attention. It's a bit like dressing provocatively, and then complaining why people are staring at you.

It's part & parcel of the Internet, has always been, and will always continue to be. Only thing you can do about it is accept it will always happen so simply - report/block them. No amount of complaining will change it.

Help our site by Reporting these messages you receive. We will quickly eradicate those who are here for dating.

Our new version of the site will be coming very soon, all these problems will no more exist. So bear & Report a couple of months more
