Hello All,

I am coming for an assignement for Ghana for 2 years and my company is handling the Ghanaian Business Visitor Visa + Ghanaian Work Permit + Ghanaian Residence Permit.

I will be coming with my partner but unfortunately since we are not married , despite having been together for 7 years, my company will not be supporting her with the VISA process.

Having dome research online this is the strategy I think would be best for having her coming with me:

-apply for the Mutiple Entry Visa (2 Years)and although each validity is for 60 days, then i understand it's possible to renew from inside for 2 months extensions at a cost of 拢5 per month. Is there a limit in the number of the renewals requested from inside the country??
-while she in Ghana with me (both staying in the same accomodation)apply for a spousal VISA - although we are not married we have proofs of having lived together for 2 years and having been together for 7 years.

I would really appreciate your thoughts on the above.

Can you confim if we enter with the tourist visa Mutiple Entry Visa (2 Years) whether she can renew it after the first 2 months, for just $5 per month like described in this site

is there any limit in the number of renewals she can make? she plans to go back to europe once every 4 months (3 times per year).

I can't confirm that sorry, I can only tell you what I did. I came in on a 3 months visitors visa and then when I arrived I applied for a spousal visa and got that for one year multiple entry and have renewed it annually. I don't pay per month it was just the fee for about GhC 50 for the year.

yes with tourist visa you renew it just by going to the neighbouring coutries like togo,ivory coast benin through the border,that is to and fro and you get extention

I too will be joining my husband in Ghana who will get a work permit through his company.聽 When he worked in Zambia, my passport was endorsed with my husband's work permit details so that I could live there for the duration,(although I couldn't work). I could enter and exit at will and never had a problem at immigration.聽 I assumed it would be the same for Ghana. Can anyone shed any light on this?

Yes, it will be the same for Ghana if you are a spouse. The problem the writer had was he and his partner are not married.

If your partner plans to go to the UK every 4 months, then you dont have to worry about a thing....She is good. You do not need a spousal visa. If it becomes necessary to renew her visa for any reason, just go to the immigration office and you will be taken care of.
