one of my firend at tema, ghana working in indgha packaging聽 industries ltd, opp. community 9 ( ph 22 303936)Mr. Prateek Mohan has been handed over to police by Mr. L.K. Gulati ( mobile no. 44352250) puting false allegation of fund emblezment.He is working their as accounts manager and to handle cash they have different person working as cashier. This is the nature of Management as he has demanded his salary unpaid for 6 months. instate of paying such huge salary , it is always better to lodge a complain which is less expensive and forced the person to return India without salary.

This is very bad.. esp our own people doing this to our blood in a different country. They are just moneyminded people willing to put our own country's reputation at stake.
I feel sad and esp when I might come to Ghana in near future, I'm more concerned!

Dear All, this is very serious matter in Africa, for me this is not a NEW ICCIDENT, this happens with many Indians & very unfortunetly this is also done by our own Indian community.

There are companies in GHANA & other part of Africa who blocks 2-3 months salary so employee can not go himself back to the country & give very bad treatment to expats.
I suggest you to contact Indian Embassy in Ghana & take this matter up.

Sorry to hear abtyour friend but this man Gulati is notorious for this kind of behaviour, ask your friend to approach the indian High commision in Accra, they will definetly help hin in sorting out the matter,or he should approach Mr. ashok Mohinani(Indian association President) Exe.Dir Poly Group of Companies

no use to go for help in indian embassy
i know last year one case
employer name mr raja and he have keep one of worker called poonam he is a make and since from last 23 month is working with him no money for him to eat and some time provide him rice and some time oil and no proper living place
when he ask him money and his passport he was sacked by raja and when he went to embassy they provide him a passport and answer him apart of that they can not help because they said they r responcible for only passport not any thing elase
they answer him about his salary and going back to india is not they are work
and they lived him like that that time boy no have even 5 cedis
after that boy was arrested by immigration and following day send to india with out any money

This is nothing new here in Ghana. The Indian embassy is of no help here. I am currently facing a problem with my employer and they have not paid me my salary for,last three months. Most of the Indian companies have good hold here in Ghana and one cannot do too much harm to them on this soil... In my case, I have my decision clear to my company that I will leave on 2nd Oct 2013 and have accordingly booked my ticket.. Only before I leave, if my company doesn't pay me, I will lodge a complaint in to Indian embassy with a copy of the same I will fly off. Once in India, I will file a complaint with the MEA, Labour ministry and a cout case against the Indian owner from Kolkata.. he hails from Kolkata and has his properties there... After 1st October I will update you all my status... May be any other victim can try the same and let me know..

I am sorry to hear your case and was eager to know the employer's name as I have been offered a job from an IT company in Ghana.

Has your strategy worked ? or showing in any signs of positive results ?
