Any one have any kind of update on this post?? In particular relating to Dutch nationality?? I was kind of hoping to get my wife out here in the near future!

Just rumours:
1.) It'll be cleared up by tomorrow (thursday)
2.) It won't be cleared up until June

I can see individual countries making deals. Divide & conquer, someone's read 'The Prince'.

TRIPOLI, March 3 (Reuters) - Libya declared a trade and economic embargo of Switzerland on Wednesday, a week after Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi's call for a jihad, or armed struggle, against the European state. The announcement, in a statement reported by the state news agency Jana, marked an escalation of a long-running row between Libya and Switzerland. It also came after Tripoli warned that trade ties with the United States could suffer for caustic comments a U.S. official made about Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi. Libya's spat with Switzerland began in July 2008 when police in Geneva arrested Gaddafi's son Hannibal on charges -- later dropped -- of mistreating two domestic employees. "The General People's Committee (government) has decided on an economic and trade embargo of the Swiss state involving the public and private sectors," the government said in the statement. "The decision came in answer to the call of the brother Revolution leader (Gaddafi)," it said, adding that Libya would find alternatives for its imports of medicine, medical supplies and equipment from Switzerland. The statement suggested Libya also had scrapped "electricity projects and other" activities by unspecified Swiss firms

And the plot thickens.....

So it might just be a Swiss thing now?

Ever hopeful!

Italians and Maltese holders of "Manager" or "Engineer" business visas are entering again without problems.
A italian friend of mine just made it yesterday.

What I've heard from the french embassy is that french families (wife & kids) are allowed to enter Libya, without any guarantee though...

Keep you posted.

None of the French and Cloggies at our place seem to be having any problems either

So, no more news about the issue? Experiences? Co-workers experiences? I had my German boss with resident visa and "engineer" turned over on the airport on march 3rd. I´m supposed to go to Madrid around april 4. Does anybody knows if you can have different visas on different passports? Because I might try to come back with my brazilian passport as tourist just to get in the country, and then leave again in 4 weeks (when my both tourist and multi-entrance expire) and arrange my resident visa from Madrid. Any suggestions?

Thanx in advance.

They are still refusing selected travellers who have Schengen country passports - I know of two guys, one French, the other Dutch, working for two different major IOC's who were turned back on arrival on the Sunday KLM flight.

Same day my boss arrived, this Dutch guy who is the MANAGER OF TRIPOLI`S AIRPORT, was turned back... incredible hum?
