yes we need to start an animal care foundation but libya will never support the idea of animal rights and welfare legislation.

Nope, I'm not from Caspian Sea shore, like him, but from Black Sea shore, you know, where Snake Island is (it's not belonging to us the island, but Ukrainian Republic)... So yes, I'm a foreigner, like Andy Kaufman character, but not so much foreigner if you start comparing me... Beware with whom you start comparing me, two or four legs, people from here or movies characters... If you ask my opinion, I prefer 2nd and 2nd, but it's anyway your choice... You start the game, not me...

Oh, come on Clans, try whistle some tunes for loonies, don't be grumpy, you lost nothin', you know, usual kids stuff when maws and paws are away... kicks, some thrashing, nothing big... not enough sticks and stones... uefa called me names, FireFox suspects Sarah to be local, and I have to operate my mandible because of a good laugh, trying to keep serious because of the subject I launched and I believe in... and still wait somebody with a canister full of kerosene to help me revive the subject of poor small pets to be protected instead of being abused by ... couldn't found but dirty obscene brutal raw words to be avoided or else be banned by sysadmin Julien

Locals get offended when you speak of 'animal rights', because they believe they themselves are not being treated fairly by their government.

As much as I care about animals, I think if there's any abuse that needs attention, it's child abuse (by parents)... but that's just a personal preference

OK, Clans, no whistle, I can understand that, if you want to practice your boo's I can bring here some of our ministers and fellows from parliament, they are really something, your whistle will be back out of the blue, you will start immediately to believe in Tooth Fairy (if you stopped somehow, by accident)

Btw, why you didn't try to hum the anthem ? Maybe it's closer to their singing habits huh ?

You know MoEl, you just pushed me to think a little bit further, and look here where I get:

Fighting for children rights, for animal rights, fighting for people who never were treated in a democratic way, finally we are speaking about a struggle, however, the question of a peaceful idea fight...

And they don't "...believe they themselves are not being treated fairly by their government"... They are sure about that, this is the situation, but there is nothing they can do, or they intent to, they are comfy with that, just complaining because it's good for image. Most of their names must be Janus, the others are not too many.

I have in my neighborhood some.

Foxy, for a moment I thought you intend to be a little biased and provocative... Then, I changed my mind, blaming or you, and reading on the rush (the words are tricky sometimes, are jumping up and down), or me, and my English of the 3rd degree of primary school (you know, the dummy level), as expat as I am... Then, I find an excuse... You maybe have the same problem with the comprehension of the covert senses of the words... I never did and I will never be the critic of other governments, social systems or nation mentalities, and look here for the reason: it's necessary a lifetime to live between them, with them, for them and understand the realities, and maybe then, and I highlight the word, maybe then you will have the right to start making some critics, because the people will perceive you as one of them, but never before. So, why you turn upside down my words it's already unimportant, important is to understand that take time to correct even our small bad habits... Btw, you bite your nails, for example ? Mines are very-very small...

Regarding criticizing regimes, that's a twisted and dangerous idea, Eastern Europe where I came from is a place with a lot of stories you don't want to hear about. Maybe think twice instead of trying to induce such crap as you tried... Was not nice and not so fair ! Hope you feel as bad as I feel

WTF first of all tav I don't know but I get this feeling by reading your posts that your trying to in some way show your english typing skills (not interested if so).

Secondly, all I was saying or in my opinion you or any other expat should not try and discuss the political situation in Libya. No one gave you that right to do so, it's the way it is. I mean like someone said earlier on this thread that if you are so worried about animal cruelty go and do something rather than showing of your so typing skills. I just think sitting behind a computer/laptop screen, posing your not-real name, and yawning about animal cruelty isn't going to help the animals in the markets where you saw them!!!

I FELT THE SAME WAY AFTER SEEING THESE ANIMALS IN RASHID STREET, I FELT SO BAD SEEING THE SNAKES AND CATS AND DOGS, I BOUGHT A KITTEN WHO'S TAIL WAS BROKEN JUST TO SAVE HIM, HE IS NOW 2 MONTHS AND THE LOVE OF MY LIFE, BUT ACTUALLY IF I COULD AFFORD IT I WOULD HAVE BOUGHT ALL THE ANIMALS AND LET THEM FREE.

I LIVE IN SIYAHIYA AND I FEED ABOUT 25 CATS A DAY, I HAVE BEEN DOING THIS FOR ABOUT ONE YEAR NOW, THIS IS MY FORM OF CHARITY TO SOCIETY.

MY GREATEST SURPRIZE HERE IS THAT THE PROPHET MOHAMMED SAW WAS A LOVER OF CATS AND IT STATES , IN THE Q'URAN THAT ANIMALS MUST BE PROTECTED AND LOOKED AFTER.聽 HERE IN AN ISLAMIC COUNTRY ITS JUST THE OPPOSITE ALTHOUGH THERE ARE FEW PEOPLE HERE WHO DO LOVE THEM.

FOR THIS REASON TOO I REFUSE TO EAT MEAT HERE, AS I BELIEVE THE ANIMALS MUST HAVE BEEN SLAUGHTERED IN A CRUEL WAY.聽 IN A SO CALLED CIVILIZED SOCIETY - WHY DO THEY HANG THE HEADS OF ANIMALS I.E. CAMELS OUTSIDE THE MEAT SHOPS. THIS IN GERGARISH ROAD.聽

YES I THINK THERE SHOULD BE A LIMIT TO THIS ESPECIALLY IN A COUNTRY WHICH IS WELL SUPPORTED BY TOURISTS AND EXPATS, AS THEY KNOW IN ALL WESTERN COUNTRIES WE LOVE OUR ANIMALS LIKE OUR CHILDREN.

I LOVE LIBYA AND THE PEOPLE BUT I WISH AND PRAY FOR THIS TO CHANGE.
