In search of violin

I am in search of violin....haven't found it anywhere I live..Can anyone suggest me shop/s that sell musical instruments in Tripoli! If yes, do give some directions or atleast what to tell the cab driver so that he can drive me there..Just to make my life a little easy :)

I don't know if this has been covered before..I tried to go through the topics posted earlier..After page 10, I kinda of ran out of patience

Thanks in advance!

Genie, I saw a guitar shop selling violins on Gergaresh Road near a costume shop with a green teletubby and bat man suit in front. I used to play violin myself when I was young.
Hi Genie,

As veechansa says, there is a shop selling violins on Gargaresh.聽 If you are approaching Regatta, you will find it opposite the turn off to the Skanska camp, on the right of the street - a narrow shop with a glass front.聽 If you get to the wadi, you've gone to far.

Not sure what the quality will be like however; the guitars they stock are very dubious...
Thank you guys..will sure look into it when I head to Tripoli the next time! :)
Just out of curiousity, is there a classical music scene in Libya.... don't laugh, I'm serious!
I don't know..But the reason why am inquiring about violin -> I plan to learn to play the same during my free time..Found a teacher to help me with the same! :)
Good for you.聽 Check out smartmusic.com聽 I don't play anything but my niece has this and it is cool. It gives you all of the Suzuki books and you can practice by playing along with the computer. I wish you the best of luck in your musical endeavor!
Genie, Libya provides you with a great opportunity of self-development, doesn't it :)
GISgirl-> Thanks and will check it out :)

Vee--> ha ha! not sure about self development..but the idleness, for sure, is driving me insane...While I go mad, let me drag my neighbors along...Me practicing late night can be really fun :D:D:D
