Electric Scooter Charging Stations in Mauritius

VeniaV

Hello Everyone!

Apologies in advance if I ask anything not too intellectual1f605.svg in this thread... I'm simply trying to figure out the following...

I was thinking about buying an Electric Scooter 1500 W which says it takes 8-10 hours to fully recharge. In the USA or UK I could easily purchase a home charging unit-- however in Mauritius, (being an island) I haven't been able to find such. Therefore I don't even know if this would be a wise purchase?

Are there any electric charging stations around Flic en Flac or nearby? And if so, would I be able to just leave my scooter charge for 8-10 hours without issue? (Seems like a long time).

Does anyone know of a service that would install a charging station at an apartment (with landlord's approval of course)?

This all being said, I was only looking into the electric scooters because of their upfront affordability compared to petrol scooters. If anyone knows where I can get a good condition petrol scooter for under 1K USD then please let me know. I just need something whilst getting my bearings and eventually will purchase a car.

Thank you!,

Virginie

Hello Virginie,

Welcome on board !

There are stations to recharge your scooter ( I think there might be 21 of them).聽 Find them on this website :

Thank you so much Bhavna馃槉 Apparently there鈥檚 a way to easily recharge the scooter (moped) battery at home too? I need to verify this though as I鈥檓 not sure. Really appreciate your reply馃檹

@VeniaV Most people recharge their electric scooters at home indeed. It can take a little longer.

Will try to find out more
