I wish to apply for a retirement visa.聽 The checklist states that I must provide a certified bank statement indicating that I have sufficient funds.聽 What does 鈥渃ertified鈥� mean?聽 Do I get a bank statement stamped and signed by the bank? Or is just a bank copy of a recent statement sufficient?

My second question is regarding the dependants application.聽 It asks for a completed 鈥淯ID鈥� but it does not state what 鈥淯ID鈥� means?聽 Can anybody help please?

You need to get a original bank statement on a bank letter head with bank stamp and signature

I had my bank stamp the statement and they seem to have accepted it, however, I didn't try without the stamp.

UID - This stands for unique identification card. My understanding is that you get this about 5 days after you permit. I have my appointment tomorrow so I may know more then.
