Here are some trails for mountain bikers :

As for trail runners, I think you will find the Dodo Trail and the Moka Trail interesting.

However, please note that such events have been either cancelled or postponed due to Covid and I don't know when they will organise the next one.

Thought not directly linked to this topic, I would like to point out that it is next to impossible to find some brands in Mauritius, specially sports equipment. So, if you have a favourite brand, please bring it along.

There are some brands that I couldn't lay my hand on here. At sport shops you won't find the latest Pegasus series (any latest running category Nike), Saucony, New Balance, Adidas latest running tech, Brooks, the list goes on, atleast not originals.

You can still find Asics at Decathlon, however Decathlon being Decathlon, they sell their own brands (Kalenji).

You can also find some models of Hoka One One and Asics at Go Sport but they are limited.

Some models of Salomon for hiking/trail running can be bought at Emcar :

One thing to mention as well, you won't be able to getted fitted here prior to buying a pair of shoes. This service just don't exist.

Bikes, running shoes whether road or trail, biking shoes are hard to find locally. You can still buy them online or make someone ship them to you, fortunately.
