Hi everyone,

Numbeo will give you an indication about cost of living, however bear in mind that there are minimum salary requirements for foreigners, otherwise, occupation permit (visa to be able to work and stay here) will not be granted by authorities.

Minimum monthly basic salary

聽聽 MUR 60,000
聽聽 MUR 30,000 in the sector of information and communication technologies (ICT), business process outsourcing (BPO), pharmaceutical manufacturing and food processing, fund accounting and compliance services

And personally I don't think that Rs 30,000 is enough to live here if you have to pay for accommodation, insurance, rent a car and if you have children (education/care).

Agree with Anou above - the MUR 60 000 per month minimum is more feasible and it corresponds to the USD 1500 that the Retirement Visa and Premium Visa require to come into your Mauritian account per month.
