Buying property

Guest6789

We've just moved here from South Africa and been looking to buy an apartment of between 2-3 bedrooms.  Been looking at the West and North.  Can't say we're seeing any value or quality.  Rare to find units with spacious bathrooms and separate guest bathrooms.

Comparing pricing of those available to foreigners against those available to locals, foreigners will have to pay almost twice the square metre rate.

Any suggestions welcome.

It’s a rip off a total rip off. Prices have quadrupled in the last 3-4 years and the property just ain’t worth it. Some of the prices being asked - well you could buy an apartment in London for the same. It’s a big disgrace and the market cannot sustain the over inflated prices. I’d rent for a while especially in the coming year.

This does not bode well for the property market and foreign investment.  Very short sighted.

Would have to agree, not value for money.  Makes much more sense to rent.
