Expat / English speaking meet up group in Kenitra

Hi everyone
Is there an expat / English speaking meet up group in Kenitra? If not, what are people鈥檚 thoughts on creating one?
It could be a Group meet up say monthly (1st sat of every month for example) for brunch at eat and meet for example.

Hi,
I will be interested.聽 I think it is a great idea.
I live in Agdal.
We could even meet in Agdal.
Cool, sounds good. Hopefully the restrictions for travel between cities will be lifted.
I hope so too.
Hi Ikwswarup,
Agree, although you can get a permission to travel from the local authority, but as with most things it takes time to the paper with the stamp and the reason has to be valid.
Have you connected with many English speakers in Rabat?

No, I haven't with anyone.
I would love to.
I was in Rabat a couple of Weeks ago for a meeting, I was in Temara and then went to the Arribat mall to meet friends for coffee. Very nice shopping mall. I鈥檒l be in Rabat next week, around souissi.
Sounds like a good plan, I鈥檓 here in Kenitra already .. we can meet up soon
:top: sounds good. Which area are you staying?
I live 10 minutes walking distance from Aribat Mall.
Great.
Centreville, near Kenitra mall,,

You?
Bir Rami, not far from Aswak聽 Asalam
Refreshing the topic....english speakers in or around Kenitra all welcome expat or not everyone welcome.
Extending this to Rabat, with a view that lockdown eases and travel between cities is possible.
I am curious to know what an English speaker is doing in Kenitra. Are you teaching? I lived in Moulay Bousselham for nearly 5 years, but came back to Norcal, USA,聽 for medical reasons and have been stuck here since Covid. Hopefully i can return sometime this year.
Hi Norcal
It鈥檚 a good question, well my wife parents split their time between Kenitra and Fes, back in March last year my wife came for a brief visit to tell her parents we were going to have a baby, a few days before returning home to the U.K.聽 the borders closed and she was stranded in Kenitra, once they opened in July I flew out and on the doctors advice we stayed and our son was born in October. We now have the long wait for his passport to come from the U.K. so we can return home. However, we鈥檙e in no rush to go back, life here in Morocco is good and easy. Work wise I鈥檓 not tied to a location, so I easily work from home with no problem.
I trust you鈥檙e keeping well and yes fingers crossed you can return.
Congratulations on your new baby. Enjoy Morocco while you are there. Try to go visit Moulay Bousselham while there, as it has a lovely port and beaches. And about half hour north, there is the pristine medina of Assilah on the coast too. Prettiest one i have seen in Morocco. God bless!

Hi and thank you for the reply, at the moment I only have 1 friend here so if I made the move I would need more friends, am here another 4 weeks before I go back for Christmas work and then back for 10 weeks in January :-)

Sounds great but I am all the way in Casablanca. Too long a drive!
