Looking for an inexpensive apartment in Tangiers for 3 months. Would love to meet some expats and get some local advice. Also, is it safe for Americans

Try avito.ma ... It's kind of the Moroccan craigslist here. Morocco is safe, you should be fine. People from the north have the reputation to be the nicest in the country. Enjoy your stay !

Morocco is extremely safe and tanger is a wonderful city. Property is not cheap there and all depends on where you want to live and your budget.
I am near Tanger and look forward to hearing from you and your journey. Do keep in touch I have properties for rent in cabo negro about 40 minutes from tanger

Try Avito.ma. You can taylor the search , fit in your budget, city and customized criteria and you should find uncountable offers. It gets easier once you land your feet here but this should do it at least to give you an idea.
