Buying Medicine in China

Hi all Expats! I'm new on the forum due to difficulties with buying medicine in China. I was hoping to find some help and share my experiences.

I'm currently on leave and somewhat left without a helping hand for the next week. Yesterday I tried to find some Aspirin at a few of the local pharmacies but they were unable to help me.

Previously I had the same problem and had to first find someone who could give me a product name or an empty container with the name on before I could buy it.This was for other products.

Can anyone help me with an Aspirin product available here in China please? Preferably a soluble powder or tablet.

Thanks
Duan

Hi Harmonie

Seems the Blog is run from the Isle. It gives me a feeling of wanting to get down to a beach.:cool:

Thanks I hope I can get some help. It seems Aspirin is not a popular product in China.
Hi Duan Jian,
I don't think Aspirin is popular here. But you can find Tylenol (containing Paracetamol), which is a gastric-friendly alternative to Aspirin, at most of pharmacies in china (without prescription).
every pharmacy carries it, but it is with heart drugs and comes generally in 20mg tablets.
Thanks Folks

Yes thanks, I discovered the Aspirin but as you said its 25mg tablets and coated as well, meant for heart patients.

The type of Aspirin I was after is either a water soluble powder or tablets, usually 300mg or 500mg like these;
