I went to India with a student visa of one year. The first thing you should know is to get the admission letter from the school of your field, and the one which you are willing to join.

When you get the admission that would be the first step you should take to start the procedures. together with some other documents you can approach the embassy and ask for a student visa. The conditions sometimes difer from one country to another.

there are a lot of colleges which provide for counselling regarding the admission procedure. probably you should first decide on a set of prospective colleges and then contatct them directly. I think that could help

I am sure that Christine (Administrator) has told you the right place for full information regarding this. But, In mean time as a student of one of the best well known universities around the world, I would like to suggest you to apply for this university, the main reason behind it is that my university is known for it's research method and it has it's own specialization in this field.

I mean J.N.U New Delhi, India where I have been studying for last two years and few months.

Here is it's official web address () I would request you and other students who want to come to India for research on any topic, please do visit this site. The admission process is very simple. You have to fill up the form on line then the university administrative body and concerned school will let you know if you have been selected for the course. After that you will have to come here in July to August for completion of admission. That's all.
