Moving to Bangalore in July and getting worried about school admission

We are moving to Bangalore in July from the US and am really worried about getting admissions in schools. They will be going to Grade 2 and Grade 5 respectively. We are still finalizing the move so the location where we will be staying is not finalized but wanted to make sure that the schools and stuff can be handled. Work will be near Malleswaram. Any recommendations on how to proceed. Has anyone done a similar move recently?

Any help would be welcome.

I totally get how stressful it can be when moving to a new city with kids聽 especially from abroad.

You can definitely check out Knowledgeum Academy in Jayanagar. It鈥檚 an international IB school and offers a smooth transition for students coming from US/international curriculum. A friend鈥檚 kids go there and the school is very supportive, with good academics and a warm environment.

Since your work is in Malleswaram and you haven鈥檛 fixed your home yet, Jayanagar is still reachable and well-connected.

Hello chakravarthi11,

Thank you for your reply. However, please note that this thread has not been active since 2015.

I suggest checking out the Bangalore forum to join more recent discussions.

Cheers,
