Insurance ?

Arriving in Bali a couple of visits ago, I was met with heat and humidity
as usual. I had left a cold, dry Perth. The day after I arrived I couldn't
stop coughing and felt ill. My significant other persuaded me to see a
doctor. She actually took me to Surya Husadha Hospital where I was
examined and admitted. I was there for 6 days and was given I.V.
antibiotics throughout my stay. The care was top notch and I feel deeply
indebted. My travel insurance was provided by QBE via my ANZ credit
card. QBE were just great and took time to overcome problems which
arose because of the way my air ticket had been sent to me. They were
persistent in sorting it out, and earned my full gratitude and respect.
I was diagnosed with pneumonia but was able on discharge to resume
my holiday in Bali.
Had you asked me the week before I went, what were the chances of
needing travel insurance, I would have said almost nil. Just shows you.
Tomorrow I return to Bali again and can't help wondering what might
unexpectedly聽 befall me this time. It's a worry.
