2 years on have you found some friends?

Sorry but another single elderly? old? woman here.
In my case with the mind of a teenager. (I鈥檓 still not sure who that person in the mirror is)

I鈥檝e spent the last year researching Bali as a place to retire and it鈥檚 a case of when not if.

I鈥檓 quite self sufficient and will be happy just to be warm. However I can鈥檛 afford my ideal house - the beach in front for walks in the day and shops behind to browse in the evening.

Would my Indonesian 鈥渉elp鈥� extend to walking around in the evening? I鈥檓 quite happy on my own but I鈥檝e read that鈥檚 not a good idea.
