Delay in registering marriage - Beyond frustrated....

with borders closed I cannot travel to Japan to be with my wife there....Explained the situation to the consulate here in my city in California but they are very hesitant to help in any way.
Married here in US, trying to register marriage there in japan has become delayed etc....No idea what to do and just waiting has become聽 a daily struggle....
Just needed to vent....

Pretty much the same situation with many other countries. In Singapore they will put you into quarantine in a hotel for two weeks and you have to pay a fixed sum. If you are lucky it will be a five star hotel, even the Marina Bay Sands, if less lucky it could be a basic three star hotel with no facilities. Once you are in your room you are not allowed to leave it. In Indonesia foreigners without a working permit or long term visa are still not allowed into the country at least until the end of 2020 and perhaps even longer than that.

We all need to make some compromises at this moment and hope things get better sooner rather than later.
