Marriage/TRP in Kazakhstan

Hello!

Feeling really confused and this site seems to have a lot of helpful info, so figured I鈥檇 post here!

I鈥檓 an American female planning to marry my Kazakhstani boyfriend in Kazakhstan soon. The plan originally was for me to travel to Kazakhstan, provide all of the needed paperwork for marriage, and then for us to get married there. Once the marriage was registered, I planned to apply for a temporary residence permit. However, after researching more in depth, it seems like I may only qualify for the TRP after a year of marriage (maybe even longer). Is this true? If so, are exceptions sometimes made? Could I go about getting a TRP any other way?

Yes, I鈥檝e been trying to do some research on my end, and my boyfriend has been actively trying to get answers from authorities in his city. So far, he hasn鈥檛 been given a clear answer (mostly just 鈥淚 don鈥檛 know, we鈥檒l have to see鈥�), and I鈥檝e read a lot of conflicting info online about the requirements. We鈥檒l keep trying, but nothing is really clear yet.
