Hi poverty wage you will struggle to survive. No savings of course you must be kidding!

12 years ago an ex of mine was a student living on 2500 rm per month and shared with her two sisters. She struggled and prices doubled since then! (Asian btw)

Vietamese friend was earning 6.5k a month and struggled to save and lived a small room in shared house. She left for better opportunity elswhere - she started at 23 and that salary good for a junior.
1,000 MYR a month is possible for living for one person.
Maybe in 1975!
If you know you have a salary of at the least 2500 malaysian ringit you can pull it off but stick to basic food etc especially if you want to save money which won't tally that much and then in the begining it may be more costly even ridiculously so until you have found your reasonable monthly rental which you can ask around for or organise before you go maybe from contacts with access to local newspapers or read them there.

You can probably rent a room somewhere and have enough money to survive, and you might be able to save a little. It would help if your employer provides meals. FYI, security guards in many condos earn around RM1500 per month. Restaurant workers may get free meals. Local Malaysians often earn less that RM2500 per month, so you should be fine.

But security workers share 10 to a room in bunk beds! Ok if Nepalise as a very poor country.
The majority of condos employ local security workers, as they are less expensive than Nepalese security guards. Many of these locals are normal people not living in dormitories. when I talk about salaries of around RM1500 per month I mean local Malaysian security guards.
Local? At work and in condos i lived in all Nepalese. When i visit friends all Nepalese. In malls rarely see a Malaysian one. Maybe you dont see the difference?
Yes I know the difference.

I was on three different condo Management Councils in KL for a long time, Chairman of one for 3 years, Vice Chairman of another and ordinary Council member on a third. We employed security firms, with either local or Nepalese workers and we changed firms every couple of years. I know the typical salaries of local and Nepalese security guards, how much their employers pay them, all their perks, their problems etc.

Some local security guards are earning below RM1500 per month. Nepalese guards get more but do not necessarily provide a better service, language problems, inability to think or act, subject to bribes etc.
My condo employs only locals for both shifts. They used to employ a Pakistani, he was so good looking that he had affairs with a few lonely housewives and was sacked after just a few months. There goes my eye candy! (Roll eyes)

One of my client is a security company and their Nepali guards take home salary is around RM1,300. Accomodation, uniform & food provided
