Regarding job opportunities in Kuala lumpur for Java with Banking exp.

I am from india. My wife got a job in Kuala lumpur as 'Test Engineer' through a malaysian consulting company. She got an offer聽 of 5000 MYR per month. She has almost 3 years of experince in banking and testing.

would this 5000 MYR聽 salary enough in Kuala lumpur?

I am working in an Indian MNC in india, and having 7 years of IT experience in banking domain. I am also planning to move to Malaysia next month.
Shall i get job in Malaysia with my experience? Or shall I try for a job through my company in Malaysia.
How is Malaysian market for IT proffessionals?
What kind of salary i can expect?

Please advise whether to accept the above offer.

Sanjeev, Its a good offer go for it.. but make sure that you are getting good employee benefits like epf, insurance for family etc. Here there are lots and lots of jobs for java( especially banking domain) bcoz there are so many banks here.. Hi 5k is an insultingly low offer. A couple can't survive on that and no EPF that is an irrelevant comment as foreigners. Although chance you can work too -聽 much better chance than most to get a job as well - to survive you will need to work as well

Hi,

I am Sanjeev. I have landed in KL last week with my wife(she got job here this month). I am looking for Java/J2EE Tech lead or Senior developer role in KL.
what i can see here is, there are lot of small consulting firms offering jobs. i am getting call for 7k to 8k. However, i am not interested to work for 7k MYR. I am looking for something 9k to 11k MYR.
I am not in hurry to leave my job as i am working for top indian MNC and can get onsite offers globally.

Please advise.
