On the way to KL!

Hi, myself, wife and 13 year old daughter are moving to KL from Australia in late January, 2011.....As an extra challenge, we have a baby due between now and then. We have been researching the move since August and I have been over to check things out. This forum answers many questions we had, but obviously there are many we still have and things we haven't thought of yet. This is the first step in finding a community we can be part of and feel at home in KL

Hi there!

A warm Welcome! No worries, just shoot out your questions and i am sure we will all be happy to assist you, to make your stay here as pleasant as possible.
Hello Alfonce,

Malaysia is great place to live in. The food is good and everyone is very friendly. Language is no problem either. The best place to stay, depending on your work, is Mont Kiara. There is a big expat community in the area. Living expenses is not too high and good food is cheap if you are adventurous. Malaysia is great for outdoors and we do lots of 4x4 treks across the country. Scuba diving is pretty amazing as well. You will like it here. If you need some accommodation just let me know ;-)

Hello Alfonce,

My wife and I are planning to move to KL in a year or two.
Our home is in Melbourne but we have been waorking in Korea last two years.
We have been doing quite a bit of research so just go ahead and ask whatever questions you may have and we'll share what we know.

cheers!

Hi,
We have moved to KL from the Uk and our daughter starts in AISM in Jan.
We are just finding our way around too, but happy to try and share our limited experience with you!
Good luck for the move.

Hi...my husband and I (and dog) just arrived to KL about two weeks ago. We are expecting our first baby in February and have been told of two or three really good hospitals. I've chosen one close to the KLCC area.
Good luck with the move and happy holidays to all.
