I just did it this month. Look for my thread explaining it all.

TLDR: Book a RT to Guam. Go to office, 20 mins later it's done. Fly back. Net cost plan on $600 maybe more depending on hotel, food, etc....

Taxis are HUGE expensive. $25 for 2 mile ride to hotel at 5am with no traffic.

(3) Pulmonary Embolism

(4) Seizures

(5) Severe Infections

The money spent going to Guam to cancel part B could be used in going for medical treatment instead.

Hi @dustyme47, I'm not an expert on Medicare parts A, B, and D but I found a good website that offers information for US citizens who are retired and living abroad and have questions about keeping or dropping part B. In 3 months of not having Medicare Part B deducted from your social security you're money ahead for your medical treatment in the Philippines. In one year that becomes 121,000 php. Not an insignificant amount for the Philippines doctor hopefully. I have been twice in the province and paid zero. Even asked if I could pay something and they had no way to accept. Guess I'm lucky going to someone that isn't corrupted by "healthcare for profit" mentality like back home.
