Just an update. My friend in angeles city just got his second check last Thursday, which was mailed jan 6, He said it was forwarded from the embassy in manila. Guess our checks are coming from the embassy. Hope we get ours soon.

Just get my check today...it was received in the embassy manila...dated march 15...can you imagine it was just sitting there for a month...but still thankful i finally got it. Hopefully yours will come soon

actually its the embassy's fault. try to email the embassy in cebu. it is supposed to be mailed to us directly from the irs but for some weird reason it goes to the embassy first. anyways goodluck.

It鈥檚 mailed directly. But somehow, its delivered to the embassy first and stays there for a month. Then the embassy forwards it to my address. That鈥檚 what happened to my two checks.

Yes one year from issuance. In my case, it was issued jan 6, 2021.

Why not do direct deposit electronically? Philpost delivers the wrong mail to me all the time. Not to mention what employees might do if they think there might be money to be had.

I don鈥檛 have a dollar account in the states so it needed to be mailed to me here in PH so i can cashed it here. We鈥檙e using聽 fedex it said that it will only took 3-5 days from the day it will be mailed

The Philippine postal has a reputation for sniffing out cash and credit cards sent through the mail., even better than drug dogs at customs.

A word to the wise, have a postal address in your home country and get your mail timely. Why wait weeks and weeks and be concerned if you are going to get it at all.

how will i get my stimulus check.i am a us citizen retired nurse an86 y.o. and now living here in the philippines.i guess i dont have to go through the tax thing and i wonder why ibhavent receive any of the stimulus check for ssa recipients.i receive my ssa through direct deposit from a bank here in the philippines.can someone here have some idea that will help.thank you very much

Filomenalim7535. . . .It's very stressful waiting and expecting the stimulus funds, especially when it's hard to find answers. It's even worse when others under similar conditions have received their check or direct deposit.

I don't know if it would help but check out the IRS website Get My Payment. If they had issued payment, they will tell you the date. This should get you in the right direction on chasing down your payment.
