Poor Brit needs accommodation in Manila

Davao bases Brit here, needs to move into Manila, and having some of those fashionable severe finance problems, so looking for a miracle.

Accommodation cheap and nice, anyone have a magic wand.

Jeanne's sister has a place in Laguna that you might be able to use when in Manila, I'll have to check exactly where, if that helps. I'll check with Jeanne when she gets home tonight. I'll send you a msg. on FB when I know more, but keep looking at other options, just in case they're using it. Her husband is returning to RP in 2011, but should be living in Davao/Samal to develop their beach there.

A bit of advice I got from a friend as regards accommodation in the capital. Arrive store your luggage in somewhere safe (E.g. go to the mall and put it with their booth). Then walk around looking for the signs with places to rent, might take you half a day but its the way you will get the best deal. The cheapest places are often never advertised online.

if u look about mate u can get a room for about $100 a month in manila as i have been renting there about 10 years and and am still renting a room there for my wife who live and works in manila but live in qc.......all the best mate

would recommend looking for a shared condo, I found a wonderful room to rent, all utilities, furnished for around $100 USD a month, had 4 offers in that, so there's some good acccomodations around very cheap, do a search on "shared condo", or "rooms for rent", manila and too, many of the local trade boards offer postings for rooms to rent, be aware, some not wish foreigners, others take time screening, but they are out there
