It is true that making friends in Singapore is tough. Locals are either shy or busy with their own friends circle. People from outside are little more careful while talking to other expats. I spent few months here and tried to make some friends while managing work. But weekends are really boring. I visited most of the tourist places in first few weekends and now nothing is left to see :-(

Hope I can find some good friends soon :-)

Hi,

I'm also a foreigner in Singapore (Indonesian) and hes been staying in Signapore for almost 3 years.

It is slightly challanging of getting a friends in Singapore.

But hey, if you are looking for a new friends, I'm good to go.. It's always good to have more friends

Most Singaporeans as was pointed out here earlier are shy.. believe me I've been met with strange looks when I have casually approachd people at coffee places and just started chatting, be they male or female. A few times I've actually made friends cause that's who I am I'll talk to anyone regardless of who and where you are from.

Honestly, for some reason it is very difficult to make sincere friends in singapore. Especially Singaporean.

I am Chef, Musician and Photographer with a geat humor sense. if u want a friend like me just text me.. I don麓t care about your nationality or race. i speak English ,Spanish , little big japanese and malay and average italian.

Just FYI, if you want to make friends, especially with the interests you have, just go to meetup.com聽 and do Singapore and put in whatever interest groups you want to join.聽 There are a lot out there in Singapore.

I even do this in my home town in the States just to do different things.

My tip, really is be not afraid to strike a conversation with someone or with anyone. You got nothing to lose - and Singapore is a place where people converge - that alone is enough reason to think that those who are here are open to making friends /

Let us try it- maybe over the weekend - then let's share our stories & update each other on how it turned out smile
