EP withdrawn without any communication

Hi All,

I have got an offer from a recruiting firm and accepted it and they applied for my EP. EP was pending for almost 2 months and the HR came back to me stating that they don’t have quota to raise an EP and withdrawn my EP. He verbally said they will try to raise new EP through other vendor. They have wasted 3 months of my time. Can I complain on the employer to MOM ??

This company certainly do not know what they are doing: There are no quotas for EP!
But since they did not break MoM's rules, reporting them will not achieve anything.
I wish you good luck in finding a better employer!
You should reach out them telling that there is no quota for EP application but yes there is a local foreigner ratio. If they have waited 2 months then why they didn’t reach out MoM and get the feedback on pending for so long. If there is any info pending then they should submit.

If there is any other reason for them to withdraw then you ask them that you have waited for so long and didn’t try elsewhere.

There is nothing wrong to complain MoM but I have doubt that they may take any action on this as employer may claim that they hired a local employee or the position postponed due to pandemic situation. Good luck.
HR informed that they don’t have enough local bandwidth to get new EP approved hence they have withdrawn the application
They called me again today and said that they will raise new EP through a vendor and hopefully get the approval. This is confirmed verbally but no official mail yet
Then you will not be direct payroll of your company rather under the payroll of the vendor. Good luck
Yeah.. they said that they will raise new EP once they have the quota back. But they confirmed verbally but not through mail. That’s what the worrying part
