I use FWB health insurace and it has been very

good for me. Very affordable and several surgeries

were completely covered. At 76 you may have some

challenges getting affordable coverage

Local or international insurance?

FWD is Thai insurance

@alexsuomi

my wife is an agent for AiA which is the biggest health insurer in Thailand with 55% of the market so, good rates and deals and most important - the best coverage network. **** but DM me and I'll give u her Line ID and contact details etc.

local is ok as covered in Europe

Okay, I have a contact of a local agent I use for travel insurance who also does local health insurance. Not sure if this forum allows us share phone numbers?

Non-Immigrant "O" (Single Entry 90 days) or "O" Retirement Extension (1 year) obtained within Thailand, health insurance is not mandatory.

That way pick any insurance you want and forget about Insurance to fit Visa & Extension requirements.

Contact information can be shared between members by using the sites PM (private message) function. Posting private contact details on the open forum is in contravention of expat.com security protocols.

To send a PM to a member, click their name/avatar, and then on the member's info page select "Send a message".

Hope that helps.
