Bankok duty free shops prices

Hi All,

Has anyone had any experience of shopping at bankok airport duty free shops?

I have purchased a sky viper (quad copter) from bangkok duty free shop, it cost me 4500 baht ($130 USD) almost, when i searched on amazon and other websites to see online price of quad copter, same model price was $45 to $50 usd.

I am wondering how come duty free shops at bangkok airport can have that much price difference 150% increase, is there any authority who is governing on price control and to whom can register request.

I believe pretty much all duty free shops are expensive, certainly every one I've ever seen.

Booze and cigarettes are cheaper in Bangkok. The rest is bordering on a scam.

The Duty Free shops at most Airports are one giant ripoff.The only ones I have found reasonable are those at Zurich and Doha. To buy anything at a duty free shop is an absolute waste of money.King Power is the worst and I have been to many
