Hello.
I've arrive Hanoi less than a week and I cant help to notice that the locals like to stare. Is it normal? Im muslim btw and wear headscarf. Is it something new to them since m sure there are Muslim community in Vn too.

You don't need to worry about that actually

Purdah/burqa is rare here. Moreover you are a foreigner. They like foreigners. Not for harming. Be friendly with locals.

Relax and enjoy the namness. I'm 6 ft 4 with a huge beard and beer belly. So I great the long look and even a belly rub. I've not met anyone out to hurt me but you always need to be careful .

Actually they are minority of Muslim in Vietnam. I guest there not many seen in Hanoi..

At 6'4" not many would even attempt to hurt you!! Will you be my friend??

Thank you for all the information and advices.
It really helps me a lot.
Especially the fall semester officially starts today so its like 1:2000.
Will keep in mind that im showing them something new.
