My name is Timmy and I am an expat from the USA.I am currently attending a church in District 3 that may be of your interest. The church is called Agape Church (address: 15 Tu Xuong street, District 3, HCMC) and from what I know, they believe in that stuff: healing, prophecy, tongues, revival, Holy Spirit baptism, etc. I would love to introduce your friends to the community there. I can only attend the 5:30pm bilingual (Eng-Viet) service on Sundays though because of my schedule conflict. I think the Vietnamese only service is in the morning at 11am.

I've been in that sort of ministry anyways, meeting people and plugging them into local churches as well as strengthening local leaders.

Which area do you live in Hochiminh city?
I'm Christian. 15 Tu Xuong Street, 3 Dist is the Catholic Church.
That's not the place for Protestantism .You need to go the true place. By Vietnames we call Tin L脿nh.
Got many Protestian church in HCMC, somewhere they have translator for you.

My friend went to this church that the guy further up on the thread wrote about (so I think at least) and she said to me that they had told her the church was a protestant church.

Thanks for your reply 馃槉! I took a screen shot of聽 your reply and sent it to her. I think that it was this church that she ended up going to. She went in the morning but it started at 9 so she was to late. But she went to the later service. The other person on the thread wrote that it is a Catholic church so I asked my friend and she said she was told it was a protestant church. So I guess it is a protestant church then. Me I want her to go to a protestant church, for example I dont want her to pray to Mary, whom is only a human being and not God(I'm not saying all Catholics pray to Mary, because that I do not know if they do or not). Do you know if this church is a protestant or Catholic?

All in the list they have night service at 7:30pm or 8pm.
Both of you have trouble to looking for Protestain Church in Vietnam.
It was happened to me when I used to lived in UK.
We are sister and brother in Christ.

My friend did go to a church yesterday and I think it was this church that "twoteeturtle" wrote about. I asked my friend today and she said that she was told it was a protestant church, so I guess it is.

I was hoping I'd get notifications when you all responded, but I didn't so I wanted to check in and follow up. I'm glad she went to the church! I didn't get to meet her, most likely because I don't know who to look for. =P

I understand the confusion because somewhere else on Tu Xuong street, there is a Catholic church. I had a friend got lost once and ended up at the Catholic church. BUT I ASSURE you, the one I'm talking about is a Protestant church. Hoi Thanh Tin Lanh Agape with the head pastor Muc Su Vinh (don't know his full name).
