Our home, although we have water frontage, has a large area of Bush right up to the left boundary. Hard to imagine people are standing in lakes & knee deep in the sea because of fires closing in .

Thanks for that but because all phone and internet services are down the last post on there was 10-30 am yesterday.
Have just received word that my daughter has been evacuated, she could see the fires coming down the hills near her house at 2am Australian time east coast.

Well it looks like we have dodged the bullet, through shear luck they have had a few wind changes and calmer conditions so far we have been untouched. Our friends just to the north not so lucky, they have lost everything.
