8 European countries won't get VISA Waivers or VISAs: F, GB, DE, ...

KruChris

How many Europoeans are here as teachers and as tourists?

A global recession is unavoidable. With so many businesses barely breaking even, we can expect countless bankruptccies in Vietnam.

What's your plan, if you are a European?

Well I am a UK citizen so not technically a European & not a teacher, so nothing changes for me & actually might get better.

Personally most of the English Teachers certainly  I meet round here are not European anyway, they are UK, OZ, NZ, CDN, USA, SA Indian, Nigerian, Philippine. They must be hurting with all the schools closed for sure.

As a foot note & no offence meant ......I have met some English teachers here from some European countries one in particular from Romania who I could not understand a word she said & her FB posts in English!! forget it.

& as a foot note to my foot note, I see the classifieds on here are full of adverts now from teachers offering private sessions group & individual........strange that really when all the official schools are closed down.

Simmer down there Jocko, I'm a Belfast lad, I get to mock my fellow Celts

To actually answer the OP, yeah the uncertanties WRT any kind of travel and visa arrangements are irritating. I'm due to fly back to the UK end of April but if it looks like I'll get incarcerated with a bunch of sneezers for a month on arrival, I'll maybe try a land border run instead. Then again, maybe the VN authorities will start caging all incomers too?

No point planning too far in advance right now though, alas.

Good question, I've been wondering myself. There must be a lot of folk in VN who might end up in this situation, we'll have to see what happens.

Should find out soon enough. I have a border run coming up.

When I did a border run Sunday I had to fill out a self assessment health questionnaire on the way back into Vietnam.  That was it.  Didn’t even take my temperature at Cambodia or Vietnam sides of the border.  This was at Moc Bai.
