On a more serious note, out here in the suburbs of wildest Q12 this morning on my walk I must say that compared to yesterday it was about 50/50 wearing & not wearing. They did not seem to concerned about any fines. I being a good boy just tow the line & as an oldie better safe than sorry I say & after 4 months of wearing when out & about it does not even bother me wearing one & I dont have this huge adversity to doing it like some in UK & US.

Danang also has a current legal requirement to wear masks in public at all times.

The last notice I saw here in Danang stated that the fine would be in a range of 鈧�100,000 VN膼 to 鈧�300,000 VN膼

Absurd! The officials themselves don't even wear masks at parliamentary meetings. Just look at them on TV. Dumb rule as usual.

The day after it went into effect I saw a group of greenies standing by the road in a market area of An Phu a few blocks from our house and they were definitely stopping people who weren't wearig masks.聽

During the last mask mandate they were in the large park near our house where a lot of people go to walk and play in the evenings and they were stopping people as well.

Whether they were ticketing and fining people or getting coffee money I do not know.

They too stubborn to observe social-distancing or even walk away from one another at times like this major one. Don't understand is this daring or culture. Tons of them are not wearing anything. What are the rules for??

Having said that many of their parents when asked where is your mask say they don't have one... Then get on their scooters and magically it appears.

And then some of the green olives (non-organic) checking on expats聽 but left the viets unchecked. Point is they shoulda check everyone, i mean everyone including themselves. Let's not starting profiling any particular beings as it's global thing
