I think some of the hotels discussed in the Da Nang thread are actually more than half way to Hoi An.聽 One thing that I suspect is that the government is not to quick to feel a need for municipal pools in cities that have close proximity to the ocean.聽 Someone asked a similar question about Vung Tau recently and I don't think they got any responses.

You might check out the Vinpearl Resort & Villas (15掳52'53.8"N 108掳23'20.6"E)聽 The pool looks to be 50m on Google maps.聽 You have to be in satellite view to see it.聽 They may allow public use for a fee or maybe the price of a meal.
