Does a week stay in Guatemala restart your 30 days

My granddaughter is visiting us from the US for 3 months聽 and we wanted to take her to Guatemala for a week to see Tikal and spend some time in Flores. We were planning on going 3 days before she needed to extend her visa. Will she get a new 30 day free pass so to speak on returning to Belize?

More likely, they鈥檒l give her a little time to get to Immigration to pay for her extension.

But if shes out of the country for a week when her 1st 30 days expires聽 shouldnt it start over?

Yes. 40 bucks to exit by land. New 30 day stamp when re-entering. Before that expires, go to any Immigration Office, pay $100us and get a new 30-days stamp. And so on.
