hello we are thinking about moving to belize nezt year....we are from connecticut usa but it very expressive to live here and we are force to move out of our state when my husband retires

we are thinking about 6 months of renting and moving around those 6 months....

i am thinking of living in Corozol as a first choice ..buy land and build a house....since it closer to Mexican border...

i love to know about medical in that area....is there private hospitals in the area....medical is very importance to me...dental as well...there are times when husband and i really need medical....so i like to found best care i can when we are in belize....

i love to live not far from the ocean

we have nice suv and so we are driving down to belize

husband thinking of going for retirement package down there

since he as the age and income from his retirement

over allmost 2500 a month and i am also learn that he may get all 3000 a month if we live in belize...not sure of all the details

Dont drive!!!! You will never make it thru Mexico without paying an arm and a leg!

i thought it would be safe to drive to belize....i heard other people drive down from the states through Mexico to belize without any problems

Not from what I have heard about Mexico. I understand they try to give you tickets constantly and can tax you on your way in and out of Mexico. That is if you still have your car because you were lucky enough that it didnt get stolen. Be careful and investigate more. Im originally from Jersey and wouldnt want a fellow northener getting screwed. :-)

Google "driving through Mexico" and you will find a map that is kept fairly up to date. It has the crime hot spots and the towns that should be avoided while driving in the country. We have decided it might not be worth the risk. Even though we have rented cars and scooters and driven in Belize, Mexico and Guatemala.

Not yet. We are moving to Belize in the fall and plan on exploring from there.

we are still on the fence about driving or shipping, we got in touch with some of the shippers that go from texas to belize and have asked about following them, not sure if that will work or not. we are moving down in september , we think we are going ship our personal idems in a container, witch wre do not have no were enought stuff to fill it so not sure about that eather
