Where to live and operate a business in Belize?

Hello everyone,
I would like to open a beach bar- coffee in the AM, regular bar in the evenings. This spring my business partner and I will be visiting to scope things out.聽 We would greatly appreciate some suggestions on where we should visit and where the best place to live and open such a business would be? We are looking for laid back and relaxing not the busy city life.
I am hoping to meet people through this blog that I can contact once we get there for some inside opinions on the best places to live and work.

Check out Hopkins village their is opportunity there it is just starting to take off. Placencia as well, more competition thou.

Was that facious or does Belize really need more beach bars?聽 We want to open something kind of small.聽 Could be a coffee house or a beach bar or both.聽 Just really want to move to a more relaxed and tropical area.
