i generally have used WorldRemit, but there is a rather small limit of i think 1000 or even less.聽 For larger amounts, it is probably easiest to carry money or hire an attorney and have the attorney set up a bank account.

Due to its blacklisting for money laundering Belize is one of the worse places for banking. Opening an account is very difficult. Many people use ATM to survive. Large amounts of money transfer can be complicated and if you change your mind you cannot take money out of Belize. Even wirh money transfers companies there is a small upper limit.

TY .. We successfully opened an account with Heritage. It only took 4 months, but there are no provisions for linking accounts with US bank or utilizing any 3rd party internet services like PayPay or Google pay. Their ATM card it seems is a prepaid card. I'm told by a banker friend I can set up a wire transfer agreement which will allow me to engage my bank remotely, but I queried them about it and they seem unaware. I may need to change my US bank. Forgive me if this is a dumb question, but if you still have an account in the US, and s debit card, can you use Western Union to send聽 the money to yourself, doing it all online?
