New CAJA rules apply...

For rentistas and pensianados its a set rate based on $2509 and $1000? You are supposed to have as monthly income. At the Quepos office they said it was the same for investors a set rate based on $2500 but that is not true. We didn't fill out a form they just told us so we left. You are supposed to go to your local office but there is some degree of flexibility because we were able to explain our situation and get someone at a different office to help us and that where we filled out a form... Hope that helps!

Yes, that is helpful. Thanks!
I know different offices may say different things but that's no help if you're not allowed to go to different offices! ;-D
Good to know there's some flexibility.

What Caja office did you go to?聽 We went in yesterday they told us for investors it would be $400 each, but if get an accountant certified proof of income it would be reduced to $200/month each.聽 Did you do this?
I did not get an accountant statement. Just filled in a form.

Once again, CAJA聽 offices do not offer/provide the same info/premium/deductions or allow living expenses to be claimed at all offices.
Rentista, Pensionado and Investors do not base their rates on the number of family members but their premium covers, an individual/ spouse/and children as long as they are under 18...unless you have applied as an independently, if you are not a married couple.

Unfortunately, you won't know until you actually fill in the forms...
