I've lived in Haiti, Zaire, Belgium, Liberia and Canada (Montreal, Calgary, Vancouver and the Kootenays).

I've also visited Papeete, Hawaii, New York and Las Vegas.

I speak French, Quebecois, Canadian English and I'm learning Cuban Spanish.

I have been self employed for more than 20 years as a B2C Marketing / Internet Marketing Consultant and project manager, across time zones, cultures, technologies and languages.

My key interests are urban farming and food production: I have grown komuchas, kefir grains, oyster mushrooms from used coffee grounds, tilapia based aquaponics, beehives and rain water barrel gardens.

I have 14 short SF stories published, 5 of them nominated, 2 of them with Canadian SF short story awards.

I've collaborated with the Haitian Associations in Montreal, Calgary and Vancouver, the Calgary Folk Music Festival, Calgary Reggae Fest, Calgary Afrika Days, Les Petits Freres des Pauvres etc.

I am still part of the Re Evaluation Counselling聽 and the Men's Division Int'l community

I've also been a professional tarot reader for more than 20 years, at public events (Calgary Stampede, Women Show, Taboo Show Kaslo Music Fest etc.), psychic lines and face to face.

I plan to move to Cuba and hopefully happily retire there.

I am looking for part time work in the farming industry or the funeral services industry where I can focus my empathy, listening skills, marketing experience and discipline.

Any pointers towards work, housing, communities, friendship, will be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I鈥檓 an eye doctor from Sweden looking for advice on medical education in Cuba. I would like to spend a few months in Havana for a hospital attachment (I鈥檓 already a specialist but I鈥檓 curious about the Cuban health system). At the same time I would like to use the opportunity to learn Spanish and improve on my salsa dancing. I have been to Cuba twice and love the county and the people. I have been told going directly to the hospitals is not a good idea because of how the government system works. I wonder if anyone knows how to get a foot in through the door, I would be grateful. Thanks in advance

Three months ago I decided to travel. There were a lot of countries I wanted to visit,聽 but unfortunately, in March there was an epidemic of COVID-19.
Eventually I decided to go to Cuba because of the hospitality of Cubans. Despite of the virus they continue to help and support people from different countries. Could you advise me, which city is best to visit first? And which places I must see?

Thank you so much for a topic about the best places to visit in Cuba. It was very informative for me. I'd like to go to the city of Cienfuegos and then to Santa Clara for a visit to the famous 'Che' museum.
How do you think, can I safely go on a cruise ship? I heard that despite of virus, Cuba help the passengers, which need it. For example, passengers of Braemar, that didn't get help from other countries.
I really want to travel on liner, but I'm afraid. What can you advise me, dear friends?
