North Coast-suggested itinerary for 18 days

Hello,
We鈥檙e planning to explore the north coast the first 2 weeks of August. Do folks have recommendations of how long to stay in certain places? We鈥檙e in our mid-late 50鈥檚, considering DR to re-locate to after coming back & renting for awhile.

18 days! Good for you. Be aware it will be damn hot and humid

Suggested stops to check out going west to east :

Cofresi
Costambar
Puerto plata
Sosua area
Cabarete
Cabrera

If you are into boating go further west to luperon.聽 Anything farther east is pretty far removed from many services unless you go all the way to Samana/ Las Terrenas

We鈥檙e meeting you Tuesday at the Sheraton @ 5:00. We鈥檙e in Punta Cana right now at a resort and are very comfortable with the tropical breezes. Is it hotter and less breezy on the north coast compared to PC?
