Cheapest and easiest way to get to Cabarete

I'm in PC currently. I would like to spend a month on the north coast (Cabarete). What would be the cheapest and easiest way to get there?

Those are two different things.

Easiest is a taxi.聽 Cost somewhere between 175 and 250 US

Cheapest is taxi bus taxi bus taxi.聽 Somewhere between 75 and 100 Us all in.

What about a one way car rental. Is the ride mostly uneventful?

Depends which way you go, how your spanish is and do you have experience driving here.

Cost will still not be less than the bus option.聽 Rental fee, insurance, road tolls and gas all add up.
