Sorry to piggyback on Andrea's post, but I'm also interested in medical insurance in Salzburg.

The one I have found is Cigna - who has a pretty good deal.
Now I see that the link Maximilien gave us is to Cigna.
International organisation use Vanbreda. Probably not all, but quite a lot.
depending what you do you can get a Student insurance through University or you contact the Wiener Gebietskrankenkasse for a "private, direkte Krankenversicherung OHNE Pensionsversicherung", that would cost ab bit over 40 Euros. My aupairs are usually insured through internt at the Klemmer Group. For small Problems we had good experience with them, gladly no bigger health Problems yet!
