I am a foreginer at Maaseik with long Stay Visa, what happens if I registered myself at the city hall later than 8 days?

Because they didn't accept my temporary Airbnb accommodation and require an unregistered address, and I am not going to be able to rent an apartment of my own very quickly like that. so the question is what happens if I registered with an address later?

You just need to let the commune know that you have arrived within 8 days, it took me months to complete registration due to appointments and renting search

Even though I found a place for registration , I can only find appointment to two months later.
