Non EU baby residence permit - paper based?

Hello,

I recently ordered a residence permit for my baby who is non-EU.

I received a paper-based version of the residence permit. Although I don't have any problem with it, could some one tell me from personal experience that whether it is normal all over Belgium? Mind that my baby is One month old.

One more thing, do you think airlines have any problem accepting such paper-based residence permit for minors if you have travelled back home and tried to come back with it? Of course, the main travel document is a passport but each of us has to prove that we are residents of a certain country in the form of a residence permit.

Kindly share your experience and thoughts.

Yes. Its the same all over Belgium. You get a paper RP for kids and yes, for my child the airllines have accepted it.

Yes, all airlines and immigration have accepted it so far.. flown to european countries, Middle Eastern and India without any problems

0 problem, the purpose of the paper version is to be renew (very) often, as the face of the baby change pretty fast ==> new ID card & new ID picture.

If you see that the ID picture doesn't look similar enough with the "new" face of your baby ==> redo the resident permit before the trip!!!
