Delaying the L card request

Hello!

I have applied for L-card in Antwerp and next month (after 5 months) i have an appointment with town hall, most probably they will say that the have not received any reply from immigration department so I can apply L-card, this happens to my other friends too. The problem is that next month i will not be able to apply for the L-card as just one week after my appointment at town hall I have a flight to my home country and i will be out for 3 months.

My question is if next month i go to town hall and don't apply for L-card, will there be an issue after 3 month? if there is any possibility that L-card application got rejected even though i was able to apply for it before.

If town hall guys say to me that 5 months has been passed and they have not received any reply so I can apply for the L card, but i don't apply that time instead apply for L-card after 3 months, will applying after 3 months have any consequences? i.e possible rejection.

@hssn601

No, there is no problem. There is no reason to reject the L card application.

@hssn601 to be entitled to an l card you must have been registered in belgium for at least 5 years have a valid passport and meet the income if this is not the case you suspect that your l card will be refused, if you have applied for asylum you are not allowed to return聽 churches to your country of origin

I met all conditions, it's just i was out for 4 months in a row during corona times which makes me a bit worried but the person at town hall told me everything is good for me.

did you de-register from the commune when you were away during covid ?

@hssn601聽 Have you checked Mon Dossier (or the Flemish version)? You should be able to see if you application has been reviewed and/or approved.

You mention going to your commune to apply for the L card. But didn't you apply 5 months ago?

I don't find any section there to track my L-card application, i can just see file consultation history. Yes i applied earlier, next month it will be 5 months and most probably they will say i can get l card but by then i will not apply eid as i need to visit home country.
