Renewing Residency Card A for first time

Mirage123

Hi guys,

I've just finally got my first residency permit (type A) and am a bit confused about what to do to renew it when the time comes (which isn't even in a full year, but in April lol...)

I admit that my confusion is partly coloured by my time living in France, where the process was different.

If someone can provide me with a web page with the details, that will be helpful, otherwise here are my questions:

When do I actually need to apply to renew it? I've tried googling around but can't provide a straight answer.

What will I need to provide?

Is it quicker than the initial application?

Do I need to renew this every single year until I can get a card B? Seems so excessive... (again, in France, you applied for a one-year card first and then got a five-year one, which seems more efficient...)

Thanks!

To do this :

  • Once your employer applied for Single permit renewal your HR  (and/or) you and   municipality will recieve a comfirmation of approval.(Annex 46)

  • Once you recieved the approval either you will aply for card renewal from the website of municipaliy or in person in the municipality.

Or you will recieve a letter that provide following documents an make an appointment on municipality

Generally A type card is for one year. And each year is same documents, same process needs.

In some particular cases first and second card were given for 3 years. Never heard 5 years.

Good luck
